Atlanta's Hartsfield Airport disrupted.
Michael Lasseter, a Gainesville, Georgia financial executive, inadvertently disrupted Hartsfield Airport when he tried to avoid long lines at the airport's security checkpoint. The University of Georgia football fan, who was on his way to the Georgia-Ole Miss game in Oxford, was returning to his gate with a camera bag he had left outside the checkpoint. Security officials closed the airport and evacuated 10,000 people, each of whom had to be re-checked by security. Lasseter was identified by officials from a videotape.
